The Timbavati Private Game Reserve is considered to be one of South Africa’s prime wildlife viewing areas. Located to the north of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on the western edge of Kruger National it has an enviable position and shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park.
This allows animals’ free range and ensures that guests to the area have the opportunity to view a greater diversity of wildlife. The Timbavati Private Game Reserve offers numerous species of game and birdlife, the most famous of which are the "white lions" and the endangered wild dogs. Sightings of these are rare and thrilling. There are over 147 other species of animals within the park including the "Big Five”.
