Map of Springbok
Springbok – the Pride of the Northern Cape. The Heart of Namaqualand. Town of Diamonds, Copper and Spring flowers!
600km north of Cape Town, on the vital N7 road network between Cape Town and Windhoek in Namibia, is the town of Springbok. Situated in a low plain between jagged mountains, it is the commercial and cultural capital of Namaqualand.
Springbok is the ideal overnight stop, as it lies halfway between Cape Town and Windhoek. From here, there are only small settlements further north with few facilities.
It is a perfect place to end a tour of the Namaqualand flowers.
