Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg / Kruger National Park

This adventure allows you to experience an authentic African safari experience from start to finish.

Your professional driver guide will pick you up from your Johannesburg hotel and then you will head east to spectacular Mpumalanga - “Place Where the Sun Rises”-  travel via the sub-tropical Lowveld via Machadodorp before entering South Africa’s largest conservation area, the Kruger National Park.

 

The Park forms part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. This peace park links the Kruger with Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe, and with the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique and is 20 000 square kilometers in size, this is roughly that of the Netherlands! 

 

Your safari experience will begin with a guided afternoon game drive in a closed safari cruiser, seeking out the “Big Five” and other rare and endangered species. The Kruger National Park offers a range of fauna and flora which include: 147 mammals, 114 reptiles and 336 tree species, some of which are endemic to the park. 

 
Return to your hotel and enjoy a decadent dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 2: Kruger National Park

After breakfast, grab your camera and embark on a game drive in an open safari vehicle. Early morning is a wonderful time to pursue sightings of the wild game at their morning routines. 
 
In its immense botanic diversity the Kruger National Park boasts 16 macro eco zones. The northern eco zones are predominantly mopane veld while in the South it is thornveld. The park is also home to 507 bird species and 1 982 plant species. The abundant variety ensures an unforgettable bushveld experience. Your guide will endeavour to spoil you with sightings of the Big Five, general game and prolific bird life.
 
Stop for lunch (own account) at one of the camp’s numerous scenic settings. 
 

Spend the rest of the afternoon in the park. You will have many opportunities to capture your experience on camera.

 
With the bush firmly entrenched in your senses, freshen up at the hotel before enjoying dinner.

Day 3: Kruger National Park/ Johannesburg

Arise to the enchanting sounds of the African bush and enjoy your final morning tracking the animals that have eluded you on your game drives.

 

After breakfast, travel through Mpumalanga via Long Tom Pass (time and weather permitting).

Continue your journey back to the City of Gold, Johannesburg to your hotel..

 

Arrive in Johannesburg in the early evening at approximately 18h30. .

 

NB: We recommend that you do not book any connecting flights on the return day as travel times and stops may vary depending on the interests of fellow guests. We recommend that you stay the night in Johannesburg. .
