13 Day Luxury Golf Safari (semi self drive)

On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, guests are met by an African Sands representative who will present them with their self drive tour itinerary, all the vouchers for the tour of South Africa.
 

After looking through the documentation, guests will have the opportunity to ask the African Sands Representative any questions they may have. All of our team have years of experience in conducting tours throughout South and Southern Africa. They should be able to answer any questions guests might have regarding their self drive holiday. 

Guests will then be assisted with the check in formalities for their flight to Skukuza.

On arrival at Skukuza Airport, guests will be transferred to Lion Sands Private Game Reserve

The late afternoon is at leisure for you to explore your surrounds.

Tonight you will depart on your first game drive with your ranger and tracker in search of the famous “Big Five”. Perhaps you will see a lion on the hunt?

Return to the lodge in time for dinner

Early morning wake up call

Enjoy a quick cup of tea before departing on another game drive in an open 4X4 safari vehicle conducted by your experienced ranger and tracker. The possibility of finding predators on a kill made during the night adds to the excitement. The safari returns to camp for a late breakfast after which guests are allowed some time for relaxation or a bush walk before embarking on an afternoon safari which is extended into the evening.

Golf can be arranged for you at Skukuza Golf Club, Leopard Creek Golf Club or Sabie River Golf Club, or you can just relax and enjoy this time being close to nature. (optional extra)

Weather dependant, dinner could be served in the middle of the bush with wild Africa all around you!

Enjoy your final game drive searching for the Big Five before returning to the lodge for a hearty breakfast

After breakfast check out of your room and meet with your driver who will transfer you to the airport.

On arrival at Johannesburg Airport, meet with your local driver who will transfer you to Sun City.

The late afternoon is at leisure for you to explore the amazing Sun City complex.

On arrival at Cape Town, you will be met by a local African Sands Representative who will go with you to the car hire depot and help you arrange the collection of your hired car.

 In the afternoon there is time to explore the spectacular scenery and enjoy the local sights.

Cape Town has many attractions, but the highlights of the city are:

• Table Mountain – enjoy a cable way ascent to the summit of the mountain (weather permitting).
• Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – set against the majestic Table Mountain, the gardens have a rich botanical diversity (over 5 000 species).
• Robben Island – infamous island where former president Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years.
• Cape Peninsula – highlights of this full day excursion along the Peninsula’s beautiful coastline include a drive along the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive, a boat trip from Hout Bay to view the Cape Fur Seal Colony, a visit to Cape Point in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (the Continent’s most south-western point), and the Penguin colony inhabiting Boulders Beach in Simons Town.
• The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – a popular retail destination with both local and international visitors featuring a myriad of fine restaurants, pubs and retail outlets.
• The Two Oceans Aquarium – with more than 300 species of marine life, the aquarium demonstrates the rich bio-diversity in the oceans that surround the Cape.
