Addo Elephant National Park is set deep within the dense valley bushveld of the Sundays River region of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The original Elephant section of the Park was proclaimed in 1931, a time when just 11 Elephant roamed the area. Today over 450 Elephant makes the Park its home as well as the Big Five, and Whale and the Great White Shark making the "Big Seven"

 

Augrabies is derived from the Khoi name for 'place of the Great Noise'. It is renowned as one of the world’s largest waterfalls.

The area is very arid and only the strongest can survive in this ruggedly beautiful part of South Africa.

 

The Balule Private Nature Reserve was created when a few enterprising farm owners decided to drop the game fences between their farms.

 

This vast Nature Reserve is home to the Big Five and world famous for its abundance of animals and birdlife. 

 

Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Maluti Mountains of the north eastern Free State lies the Golden Gate Highlands National Park. The park derives its name from the brilliant shades of gold cast by the sun on the park's sandstone cliffs, especially the imposing Brandwag rock, keeping vigil over the main rest camp.

 

Located 280km north of Durban, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi is a large wildlife reserve that has a tropical climate and offers phenomenal game viewing. This Game Reserve is one of the oldest and most prestigious wildlife reserves in South Africa. 

 

The Greater St. Lucia Wetland area (newly named iSimangaliso Wetlands Park), Africa's oldest nature reserve and a World Heritage Site, is the largest estuarine system in Africa. 

 

Kapama Private Game Reserve occupies a vast area between the northern Drakensberg mountains and the Greater Kruger National Park. It is the largest single-owner game reserve in the region, and is perfectly situated to receive guests flying into Eastgate Airport (Hoedspruit). Kapama has all the Big Five African animals in abundance.
