The Lodge

 Only 3.5 scenic hours drive from Cape Town and 1 hour from George, this malaria free,family owned and operated private game reserve is home to an abundance of animal and birdlife including the Big 5.

 

The Rooms

Spacious Lodge Rooms lead onto a west facing balcony which offers breath-taking sunsets over the Langeberg Mountain Range all within steps of the sparkling pool. Alternatively, enjoy the privacy and seclusion of our free standing Bush Chalets with views of the nearby waterhole from your private viewing deck. All rooms have been elegantly decorated in an African theme and are complete with en suite bathrooms,tea/coffee facilities,telephone & minibar fridge.

Dining at the Garden Route Game Lodge is a relaxed affair where guests get a chance to discuss the days game viewing and make new friends.

Dining in our Serengetis Restaurant offers guests an interactive dining experience where safari cuisine is prepared by our chef to your liking. Our friendly and attentive waiters are on hand to explain the menu or advise you on our selection of fine South African wines. The expansive wooden decks overlooking the valleys below allow guests to relax and unwind to the sounds of the African night.

 

Activities

Enjoy sunset and sunrise game drives in open Landrovers with your experienced game ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant, white rhino,buffalo and cheetah. Garden Route Game Lodge is also home to giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species such as bontebok,red hartebeest, kudu,eland,impala,springbok and many more. 

 

Children

Garden Route Game Lodge is situated in a malaria free area making it safe for families to visit.

The children's program at the Garden Route Game Lodge has been designed to stimulate interaction between children and nature. Children are taught to be aware of the environment and the many lessons nature can teach us while having fun at the same time.
