De Opstal Country Lodge consists of a group of typical Little Karoo farm buildings, beautifully restored and fitted with modern conveniences, set in a lush, beautifully maintained garden
Rooms
The beautiful farm house, stables and milking parlour at De Opstal Country Lodge date back to 1830. All the buildings in the complex have been creatively converted into modern, quaint en suite bedrooms with the retention of an atmosphere of rustic charm. The terracotta floors, heavy wooden doors and shutters and wide timber ceilings bear the scars, buckles and blemishes of generations of use and give the entire complex an authentic feel. In this relaxed atmosphere Albertus, Matilda & Staff treat their guests to wholesome country hospitality and food, reminiscent of the bygone era of the 1800’s.
All rooms are "bed and breakfast".
Children between 0 and 4 stay free of charge.
Children between 5 and 11 pay R 275 per person.Children older than 12 years are charged full rate.

The complex at De Opstal Country Lodge has a salt water swimming pool and a rustic restaurant where traditional breakfasts and hearty farm–style dinners are served. The lodge offers hiking trails, under roof parking and a free car wash. Added to all this, De Opstal Country Lodge offer the best personal attention by the owners & staff. The entire complex has an old world ambience with subtle modern touches which ensure a luxurious stay.
