Celebrated for the beauty of its setting and its architectural and historical significance, Tulbagh is also famous for its wine, and the earthquake that put this little town on the map once again.

Our tranquil country retreat is ideally situated for exploring the beauty of the valley and its majestic mountains, as well as grand wine estates, museums, heritage architecture and street culture. Most restaurants, shops, galleries and other places of interest are only a short walk away.

 

The Accommodation

• Tulbagh Country Manor: offers guests 200-year-old grandeur, with ‘4 Star’ luxury en suite, king -sized rooms on a B&B basis
• ‘The little Courtyards’ ‘The Wagon Shed’, Wittedrift Manor House and House 20, all offer guests up market self-catering options.
• Tulbagh Travelers Lodge:’ offers travelers on a budget a comfortable, value for money option.

 

Rooms
The Main House offers 3 king-sized luxury en-suite rooms, as well as a Family Suite that sleeps 4 in 2 rooms, with an ensuite bathroom.  Also available is a single suite with ensuite shower and toilet.  All the mattresses are of the highest quality and the linen is 100% cotton percale. Most rooms have private doors onto the garden and pool and guests are encouraged to make free use of all facilities including the covered terrace braai/BBQ area.
