Fantastic Cape Winelands on Horseback!

Are you adventurous? Do you like to do things differently? Want something fun to do?

Well, why not consider exploring the fantastic Cape Winelands on horseback! It turns an ordinary tour into something extra special!

Start at Mont Rochelle Wine Estate and move onto Cabriere, the world renowned sparkling wine makers, then to Angel's Tears winery on the Grand Provence wine estate for a tasting of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet before heading back to Mont Rochelle for a wine tasting of their famous wines followed by a cheese and bread board. These are all excellent wine estates and well worth a visit! Don’t worry if you have never been on a horse before, the horses are all very tame and seldom go much faster than a gentle walk. Of course, if you are an experienced rider different levels can be arranged for you. The good thing about a wine-tasting tour on horseback is once the bubbly kicks in you stop worrying about falling off, especially if you've never been on a horse before!

A good tip to remember is to always have a good breakfast before you go on a wine tasting tour as there are many excellent wines to taste and the last thing you need is to feel tipsy before you start!

Exploring the Cape Winelands by horseback allows you to see a different side of the Winelands!

Instead of sipping a few glasses of the fantastic Chardonnay or Cabernet offered in a carefully decorated tasting room - seeing no more of the winelands than the many vineyards that fly speedily past your car window – here you get to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a wine farm in all its glory! Amazing! Mont Rochelle also offers champagne breakfast rides and sundowner rides. For experienced riders, there are scenic rides through the hills and valleys of Franschhoek.
